Thank you orymizak, that worked. Go to Settings, Apps and search for Android System WebView and uninstall updates. The Epic Games App works fine after that and you can get to the update or install dialog for all three games on the app. Afterwards, you can go to the Google Play Store and re-install the updates to Android System WebView.
